The Reel Big Picture Show is a program on Local Carolina TV10 for customers of Charter Communications in the Greenville, Spartanburg, Asheville, Anderson market. The show allows local filmakers and students to submit their short films and documentaries for consideration. Films and documentaries will also be available here on ReelBigPictureShow.com and on Charter Channel 1 On Demand in the IWantMore! category. Check back often to see new films.
Behind-the-scenes of the Reel Big Picture Show Promo
Shot on location in downtown Greenville, The Reel Big Picture Show promo spot above features Ryan Hammaker as "The Running Man." He will also host each new episode of The Reel Big Picture Show on Local Carolina TV10. Ryan is originally from Pennsylvania. He lived in Wilmington, NC where he did some TV and Film work as an actor. He is a graduate of the Savannah School of Art and Design. Mr. Hammaker currently works in Production at Dark Corner Films in Greenville.
Other behind-the-scenes facts of the promo are:
- The opening shot of Ryan running down the steps at the Hampton Inn was filmed from the top of The Peace Center. He ran up and down the steps for over 15 minutes and interrupted a bride's wedding portrait shoot that was going on at the same time.
- The alley shots were filmed in Chicora Alley in Downtown Greenville.
- The shots of the Westin Poinsette Hotel were for the press conference with George Clooney and Renee Zellweger promoting the opening of Leatherheads.
- The canoe shot was filmed at the lake in Heritage Lakes Subdivision in Simpsonville.
- The Camelot Cinemas (Antrim Drive, Greenville) allowed us to film just before the Wednesday matinee showing of Leatherheads. We finished filming just as the movie previews were starting.
